Cheer practices begin in late July at Circle Park (163 Fairfield Way, Bloomingdale, IL 60108) and move indoors after September 1st. Cheerleaders must wear appropriate exercise clothing and athletic shoes with long hair in a ponytail. They must not wear restrictive clothing or jewelry.
Our teams perform at pre-season, regular season, and post-season football games, except on competition dates. Cheerleaders must arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the game, dressed in their cheer uniform--including hair bow, slimmer, shell, skirt, briefs, socks, and game shoes. Long hair must be in a ponytail and jewelry is prohibited. On cold days, cheerleaders may wear warm ups, jackets, hats, ear warmers, or gloves, which can be purchased in BearWear.
Prior to the homecoming game, teams and parents will meet to decorate cars for the homecoming parade and toilet paper the homes of football players. Football players will, in turn, toilet paper the homes of cheerleaders. Participation is entirely voluntary. On homecoming morning, football and cheer teams meet at the Bloomingdale Library parking lot for a police-escorted parade to Circle Park. After the game, football players, cheerleaders, and familes will enjoy a potluck.
Cheerleaders must arrive an hour prior to the start of competitions, dressed in their cheer uniform--including hair bow, slimmer, shell, skirt, briefs, socks, and competition shoes. Long hair must be in a ponytail. Jewelry, makeup, glitter, and nail polish are prohibited. Families may record competitions and display signs smaller than 11"x14".
